Mental Health Data Alliance

Mental Health Data Alliance
MH Data works with Departments of Health Care Services, Social Services, Mental Health Services, and other government agencies to improve the value and use of mental health and social services data.

AT A GLANCE

Challenges

  • Finding information and documents in the myriad of databases and knowledge repositories on MH Data’s servers was daunting.
  • MH data needed its “brain trust” readily available to complete project proposals.

Key Results

  • Time spent locating data was reduced by approximately 10 hours/week/person.

OBJECTIVES

With new proposals and new projects beginning on a regular basis, MH Data was looking for a solution to take their founding director and lead data scientist’s knowledge and codify that knowledge for everyone else in the organization. MH Data regularly writes government contract proposals and their lead data scientist was always the bottleneck to getting proposals out the door.

SOLUTIONS

MH Data set aside time to have their lead data scientist and founding director train Max on the expertise and knowledge necessary for everyone else in the organization to do their work. This freed up their lead data scientist’s time to speak at industry conferences, consult one-on-one with clients, and focus on the future.

BENEFITS

One Stop Shop

With Max sitting right in Microsoft Teams, the MH Data team had access to everything they needed – right in the flow of work.

Answer a question just once

Instead of answering the same or similar questions over and over, MH Data’s founding director simply answered common questions one time – for Max. From then on, Max simply answered questions for her. Over time, the saved time compounded as that left more time for her to further train Max.

10+ hours per week per person saved

MH Data estimates saving between 10 and 15 hours per week per person as a result of using Max.
