One thing I've seen time and time again is that people guess at the cause of an HR issue, instead of really digging to get to the root of the problem. That's totally understandable, especially given how busy everyone is. It also makes sense if people are pretty sure of the root cause anyway. However, if there's an HR issue at hand, I've noticed that it's hardly ever caused by just one thing. Low retention? High turnover? Low engagement? Trouble recruiting? The root causes can be elusive. What are your thoughts?
