After spending more than 20 years in the Human Capital Management industry watching organizations struggle with getting to the root cause of employee retention issues, Humaxa’s founding team decided to do something about it. In the summer of 2017, the team put their heads together to brainstorm not just what would work best to improve employee retention, but what would make it exceedingly easy to manage and see results. Our employee retention platform – complete with a fun, interactive AI Assistant – was born.

CEO & Cofounder
Carolyn has 17+ years of experience working in the Human Capital Management industry and 14 years leading and managing in a Fortune 250 company. She has an academic background in Cognitive Neuroscience and Instructional technology, which she uses to guide Humaxa’s product vision.
CTO & Cofounder
Guillermo studied software engineering, artificial intelligence, and computer science – both at the undergraduate and graduate level – at universities in Venezuela and Brazil. He also has more than 7 years of experience as a front end and backend software developer.
COO & Cofounder
Garry is the former president of a systems integration and implementation consultancy. Garry has more than 30 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Management, Oracle eBusiness, Hyperion Enterprise, Business Objects, and Data Integration.
Brenda Tello Horton
Sales and Marketing
Brenda is an expert in value-driven business development. She’s a seasoned presenter, a mentor to women in technology, a community builder, and iner spare time, a non-profit fundraiser. She’s founded two startups, sold one, and she’s a champion of Diversity & Inclusion efforts.
Guilherme utilizes his strong background in Computer Science, Data Visualization, Artificial Intelligence, and Web Development to help Humaxa create the most user-friendly applications possible. He also leads Humaxa’s efforts to improve the Development Team’s Dev Ops efficiency.

Jennifer is a startup founder and is the former Business Development Manager for a transportation technology company. Jennifer earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Technology from the Kellogg school of Management, Northwestern University.

Ravindra is an expert in transforming early-stage technologies into production-ready products. With an MBA from the University of Southern California and an MS in Engineering from Purdue University, Ravindra is also the founder of Traction Labs, an innovation consulting company.
User Experience Consultant
Juan is a user experience (UX) designer with a professional background that includes working for Apple. From concept to wireframe, from mockup to beta testing and launch, Juan Juan thoughtfully researches design elements that create a positive experience for our clients.
